For
his own development and more over for his establishment Alexander
Proinov has nothing to owe to any adicative systems and academies.
Its true, that he graduated some average school of fine arts but
we do know the degree of the education and the achievements of these
schools – he left the school relatively prepared for drawing. Then
it follows for him a long studying at an engraving studio, where
he just as the artists during the Renaissance in Italy has been
surrounded of skillful craftsmen and capable mechanics. This he
has just his own abilities of an advanced journeyman, his own drawings
and his dreams. His debut is not premeditated. Alexander Proinov
creates miniature plastic art which has to our surprise particularly
monumental effect and some anticipation of monumental forms. This
feeling continues to develop. The sculptor goes into so called fine
plastic - an art which is today a sphere of banality. His imagination
transforms the little figures into imposing dreamings, into such
forms that soar involuntarily above and call for our imagination. His
is spontaneous as few of our new artists -like Dimitar Kazakov or
Atanas Jaranov - unrestrained like them. At present he already has
his first connoisseurs and collectors. He has collectors in Japan,
Israel, Germany, France. His unquenchable energy carries him forward
towards a revealing of new possibilities in which the plastic form
is subdue to the vision as well as to the spirit. The plastic form
is created in a "double" vision – a dream which predominates over
the reality. ( By VLADIMIR SVINTILA) |
